NIS2 in one afternoon

On Thursday 27 June 2024, we organised an exclusive knowledge sharing session on NIS2 for our customers. At our office in Nieuwkuijk, customers were welcomed with a delicious coffee from De Laat. These are passionate coffee roasters in the same business park.

Then, in the span of one afternoon, we updated everyone on NIS2. About the creation, the duty of care, the notification obligation, the registration obligation, the overlap with ISO27001 and the tooling that can be used to be compliant with NIS2. Concrete tools and tips to get started.

Listed below are the speakers and you can download the corresponding presentations.

  • Alexander Freund (ICT Recht) – Information Security Consultant. Alexander explained how the NIS2 came about and how you can comply with the duty of notification, duty of care and duty of registration. His presentation can be found here.
  • Sebastiaan Bakker (Databalance) – Security & compliance officer of Databalance, SJ-Solutions and IT creation. Sebastiaan explained what exactly the duty of care is and how you can comply with this duty using existing frameworks such as the ISO27001 standard (2022). Sebastiaan’s slides can be found here.
  • Martin Koster (Databalance) – Solution Architect of Databalance, SJ-Solutions and IT creation. Martin explained and demonstrated live the possibilities of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and how this can help prevent ransomware attacks and protect your data. Martin’s slides can be found here.

We ended the afternoon in the sunshine with drinks and a freshly baked Neapolitan pizza. A fitting end to an informative, interactive and successful afternoon.

Given the great interest, we will organise a follow-up session after the holiday period. The number of places is limited, so if you would like to attend, please send us a message in advance and we will reserve a place and be the first to inform you when we have set a date and make everything concrete.
